A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT SHORELINE CO.
1957-2012
Shoreline Co. is an Oregon corporation chartered in 1957 as a concrete contractor. It was started at the request of the local building community in the Lake Oswego area. Lewis "Babe" Haftorson and Stanton "Stan" Coleman were the owners, workers and operators. Babes' son, Mike, joined the firm in early 1960 and is the current owner. Babe and his brothers had been in the concrete business in Portland since the 1920s and Stan was a home designer with a background in home building. Stan retired in 1995 and Babe in 1979.
During the early years the company did residential concrete work, basement floors, garage floors, patios, and house foundations for the local contractors and homeowners. Through the years the demands increased to include industrial buildings, commercial buildings, tilt-ups, machine bases and some very technical applications. The company is currently experienced in concrete finishes that now include stamped - exposed aggregate - broom - and trowel finishes, as well as stains and colored concrete.
